Yet another case of a rogue employer targeting unionised workers showing how weak workers rights legislation is in Ireland. In this case it’s actually a state owned company.
The management at Spike Island Development Company (SIDC) have decided to dismiss two female workers for having the audacity to expect to have toilet facilities available during working hours and especially during a pandemic.
SIDC essentially a subsidiary of Cork County Council and pressure needs to be put on the council to deal with this blatant discrimination and reinstate the victimised women workers.
